Two NJ Men arrested for the double murder involving RHONJ's car
A pair of New Jersey men have been charged in connection with the deaths of two men found fatally shot in a burning car owned by "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Kim DePaola.
Clarence Williams, 26, and 28-year-old Gerry Thomas were arrested around 11 p.m. Monday and were being held in Passaic County jail without bond. Both men are from Paterson.
Police charged the pair with murder and Williams was additionally charged with aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon, according to jail records.
"I'm relieved there are some arrests, but they're saying this was a robbery and I don't believe it. I think there's more to the story. I think there's a lot more to the story," DePaola told the Daily News.
Police said the victims — identified as Aaron Anderson, 27, and 25-year-old Antonio Vega Jr. — were shot in the head before the reality television star’s white Audi was set aflame on a street in Paterson around 2 a.m. Friday. The victims were burned beyond recognition.
DePaola said she's never met the men in custody.
"I've never heard of them, but I heard Clarence lived with one of Aaron's cousins for a while," she said.
DePaola said Anderson was a friend who drove her son, Chris Camiscioli to the airport Thursday night and then used the car — typically driven by her son, though registered in her name — without her knowledge.
Vega, also known as Tone, was a friend of Anderson.
Anderson's mother, Michele Ryerson, speculated that her son was likely executed for talking to the cops about someone accused of attempted murder and that his friend was killed as a means to get rid witnesses.
The 27-year-old was the father of a 16-month-old and Vega also had a young child, with another on the way.
"Aaron was strong willed. He might have p---ed off the wrong person," DePaola said. "These days, you say one wrong thing and someone comes for you."
The "Housewives" star again offered her suppor tthe victims' f amilies sayind she has a sense of what they're going through because investigators initially called her as they pieced together the rime.
"For four hours, I thought it was my child who died," she said. "It was my son's car, so for four hours I was in agony."
The pair are scheduled to be arraigned 1:30 p.m. on Monday. Via daily news
